Basalte is Twelve Distillery’s emblematic whisky.
This single malt results from the assembly of various types of barrels : Bourbon, Porto, Pinot des Charentes, Mobazillac, rhum as well as new barrels. This whisky was assembled after several years of ageing in our cellars to obtain a perfect harmony of aromas as well as a optimal degree of alcohol.
It was bottled by gravity, without filtering or coloration, at 48% after a slow reduction over several months.

NOSE
Complex, with caramelized fruits, soft spices and gingerbread. Flavour of dried grape, plums and rancios such as nuts, dates and dry figs.
MOUTH
Initially frank and sharp, and in the middle, broad and delicate. A slight bitterness at the end structures this nectar.
FINALE
Tasty rancio, plum and precious wood.
